For 9.0 SP3

This error happens when the PXE Rep is using a WinPE image that has not been properly validated.

resolving core server name (%mycoreserver%)........

Could not resolve core server name.

This can sometimes happen when a OSD MCP is installed that provides a new WinPE image.

In these cases the solution is to revalidate WinPE using Windows AIK and then redeploying the PXE representative.

For Installing and Validating the WAIK, refer to the following article:

http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-6794

For 9.5

LDMS 9.5 does not use WAIK as previous versions did, so if you did not uninstall WAIK prior to the 9.5 upgrade, this is most likely the issue.

  1. Uninstalled WAIK from Add/Remove Programs
  2. Ran OSD.Upgrade.exe, found in \Program Files (X86)\LANDesk\ManagementSuite, make sure to run it as Administrator
  3. Redeployed PXE Rep
