Does 9.5 OSD add machines to domain better than 9.0?

I am having the hardest time getting my images to join to the domain. Two issues really:

1. Machine name never changes on the finished deployment even though the name in the c:\windows\panther\unattend.xml file under <ComputerName>%COMPUTERNAME%</ComputerName> is accurate when the machine is done deploying.
2. The machine does not join the domain.

To capture the image, I:

1. Installed from CD (win7 sp1 x64)
2. Pressed Ctrl shift F3 to enter audit mode
3. Installed everything and rebooted often
4. ran sysprep /oobe /shutdown

Because I get lots of different answers on this an other communities, I am concerned that I need to run my sysprep differently.

Can someone pleaase tell me exactly what works for win7 sp1 x64 & LANDesk 9.0 sp3?
