This article applies to LANDESK Management Suite 9.6
Issue:
When running a scheduled task to deploy the PXE Representative it fails.
Workaround:
The PXE Representative can be manually installed by following these steps:
- Push the "PXE Representative Removal" script to the PXE representative and then reboot the PXE representative once removal is complete.
- Copy Setup_PXEProxy.exe from the core under Managementsuite\landesk\files to the PXE Representative.
- Manually run Setup_PXEProxy.exe on the PXE Representative.
- Verify that the LANDesk(R) PXE MTFTP Service and LANDesk(R) PXE Service are both installed and started.
- On the PXE representative, verify that within Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\PXE\System\images\ there are four folders:
- Boot
- EFI
- IA32 EFI
- x86pc
6. If missing files, the Setup_PXEProxy.exe may be corrupt. Obtain a clean copy of the Setup_PXEProxy.exe from an LDMS or Service Pack installation package.
